The Development Volunteer Program (Usaka) has initiated a sheep farming training program in Bagerhat district. This new initiative aims to improve the livelihoods of local farmers and provide them with alternative income opportunities.
The training covers modern sheep farming techniques, feed management, health care, and marketing strategies, delivered with the support of local volunteers. The program seeks to empower participants with the skills needed for sustainable agricultural growth.
A Usaka representative stated, “Sheep farming presents a promising livelihood option for local communities. This training is designed to help participants become self-reliant and improve their economic conditions.”
One participant remarked, “This training opens up new possibilities for us. Learning sheep farming will help us enhance our family’s financial stability.”
Usaka has plans to provide further assistance to participants upon successful completion of the training and intends to continue such developmental activities to support underprivileged groups in the region.
