Food Security, Health, and Nutrition (FSHN) is an umbrella term for concepts concerning people’s access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food, and the subsequent impact on their health. FSHN encompasses food security (adequate access to food) and nutrition security (access to diets that are diverse, safe, and provide essential nutrients). Strategies to improve FSHN often focus on improving governance, enhancing food production and rural livelihoods, strengthening safety nets, reducing market volatility, and promoting knowledge.
