BeSTI Training Activities Inspection and Exchange Meeting Held

Bagerhat, September 12, 2026:

Mr. Md. Towhidur Rahman, former Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh and the current Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the National Human Resource Development Fund (NHRDF), conducted an on-site inspection of various training programs operated by Beshragati Science and Technology Institute (BeSTI) with financial support from the National Human Resource Development Fund (NHRDF).

On this occasion, BeSTI organized an exchange meeting titled “Professional Development through Training and Skills Development.” The meeting was attended as the Chief Guest by Mr. Munsi Alauddin Al Azad, Honorable Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The Special Guests were Mr. Md. Towhidur Rahman, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NHRDF, and Mr. Golam Md. Baten, Deputy Commissioner of Bagerhat. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Md. Faridul Islam, former Secretary and Chairman of BeSTI.

During the exchange meeting, the speakers emphasized the importance of developing skilled human resources, providing employment-oriented training, and creating opportunities for employment and self-employment through skills development. They praised BeSTI’s initiatives to develop skilled manpower at the local level.

During the event, Mr. Md. Towhidur Rahman expressed his willingness to provide the necessary support for conducting a Caregiving Course at BeSTI, alongside the ongoing training courses funded by NHRDF. He also expressed optimism about the approval of a Japanese Language Course at BeSTI in the future.

Later, Mr. Md. Towhidur Rahman visited BeSTI’s training laboratories and reviewed its training activities, the quality of trainers and trainees, and the overall training environment. He expressed his satisfaction with the quality and management of BeSTI’s training programs.

In addition, Honorable Secretary Mr. Munsi Alauddin Al Azad and Mr. Md. Towhidur Rahman visited various educational, skills development, social, and public welfare initiatives operated by the Latif Master Foundation at the Beshragati Foundation Complex. They expressed their appreciation and admiration for the foundation’s diverse development and humanitarian activities.

Also present on the occasion were the principals of the Marine Institute of Technology and Smart Skill Training Center, officials from various government offices working in Bagerhat, representatives and stakeholders of the Latif Master Foundation, BeSTI, and Skill-IT, as well as officers, employees, trainers, trainees, and distinguished members of the local community.
