BPSSD Foundation Extends Greetings to Youth and Sports Ministry Secretary

Dhaka, Bangladesh: The Bangladesh Private Sector Skills Development Foundation (BPSSD Foundation) extended its warm greetings to Mr. Mahbub-Ul-Alam, Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

As a gesture of respect and appreciation, the Executive Committee of BPSSD Foundation presented Mr. Mahbub-Ul-Alam with a commemorative crest during the meeting.

The meeting provided an opportunity for an exchange of views on youth development, skills development, technical and vocational education and training (TVET), employment-oriented training and human resource development in Bangladesh. The discussion particularly highlighted the importance of stronger coordination among government agencies, skills development organisations, training institutions and industry to create greater opportunities for young people and prepare them for the changing demands of the labour market.

The BPSSD Foundation expressed its commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at developing a skilled, productive and employment-ready youth workforce in Bangladesh, with greater emphasis on industry-oriented skills development and employment opportunities.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Md. Faridul Islam, President of BPSSD Foundation, along with Mst. Momtaz Begum, Vice President; Mr. Md. Maruf Hossain, Mr. Md. Nabin Hossain Piash, Executive Member and Md. Muslah Uddin Dipu, Senior Consultant. 

The delegation expressed its appreciation to the Secretary for the opportunity to discuss issues related to youth, skills and workforce development and reaffirmed the Foundation’s interest in contributing to Bangladesh’s broader skills development and employment agenda.
